We have little to suggest. If there are more good days than bad days, and he is not in pain, just keep on keeping on, we guess.

We purrrring & purraying for Mu Shue and Mamma Laura.

My Hero, TC had feline aides. He rallied at the end too but I went ahead, believing him to be in pain and had it done. To this day I hurt and feel gulty and feel I betrayed him...If there appears to be no pain and he seems to be fighting to stay with you, TAKE THE GIFT! You have added your twins to HIS household and he may be trying to stay a bit longer for them. Enjoy him as long as you can.
He'll let you know when it's time and the doctor will back him up.

I understand what you are going through. If he still seems to be enjoying himself most of the time and doesn't seem to be in pain, let him stay as long as he wants and enjoy his company.

Our thoughts and purrayers continue to be with you and Mu Shue. We don't know what we would do either, but if he isn't in pain and is fighting to stay around awhile, we don't blame you. Thanks for keeping us updated.

I used to look at it like this with Stormie...She vomited once a day - totalling about 10 minutes of discomfort. The remaining 23 hours and 50 minutes she seemed normal and happy.

Only at the end when she grew very weak and she was wobbling on her legs (the last two/three days of her life), wasn't washing herself or her brother, was lethargic and stopped eating did I feel it was time. She wasn't in pain, but these other factors were impeding her quality of life and we knew she would not pull through - chemo would just make her feel worse and she was showing signs that the lymphoma had returned for a third time anyway.

If Mu Shue's quality of life is good for most of the day and he isn't in pain and everything else seems normal then hang in there.

I know chemo kitties MUST eat and keep their weight up...but have you tried feeding small amounts of food often, rather than big meals twice a day?

Good luck x

I think you are doing the right thing. Let him stay for as long as he wants. You will know for certain when he has had enough. I send loving thoughts to Mu Shue and all of you. xxx

Laura, you have my sympathy, you really do, I have been through this many years ago and I recognise your frustration in wanting to do the right thing for the heroic darling Mu Shue. It is definately a roller coaster ride.

Castle's suggestion is really good about giving small meals if you can. If I remember rightly, Stormie (Castle's sister) was a member of a support group for cats with Lymphoma on Yahoo. Maybe you could join and talk to some of the members there? Of course be guided by Dr C and how Mu Shue appears.

Sending love to you all xx

As stated by Stanford Medical, It is in fact the one and ONLY reason women in this country get to live 10 years longer and weigh 19 KG less than we do.

(And really, it is not about genetics or some hard exercise and EVERYTHING around "HOW" they eat.)

BTW, I said "HOW", not "WHAT"...
